A Gentle Magic To Screen In New York

A documentary I co-directed, filmed and edited has been selected as part of BAMCinématek’s Film Africa 2018 series. This is a big fucking deal. It’s only recently that I’ve started recovering from the stresses we all underwent putting that film together. It’s dope to have had people reaching out to screen it; to have made it to some of those screenings and seen how the issue affects people in varying ways. I am hoping for more of this festival circuit life, but it’s so much doper holding communal screenings. The conversation flows easier, and there are less restrictions.

The event takes place on Sunday, May 27. Get your tickets here.
