SUBS is a series on subcultures filmed and edited by myself, and produced by Tshego Mosiane of ReconnectED, a plaftform dedicated to casting a critical eye on issues that emerge at the intersection of fashion and culture. We made the first one, focused on debunking Braamfontein’s fashion stereotypes, in March or thereabouts. We then submitted it to festivals, and it got selected. The first of these screenings happens this weekend at the Fashion Film Festival Milano.

Founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, Fashion Film Festival Milano is an international event where fashion films from all over the world are showcased in order to share different points of view, aesthetic and narrative codes. The Festival is an incubator of talents and a platform of unique quality and excellence worldwide.
